Hive to Glass: Mead Making w/Aaron Young

Class Description

Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly class where you’ll learn everything you need to start crafting your own mead—its history, styles, ingredients, and a full hands-on brewing walk through. Aaron is a 3rd year beekeeper and mead maker with 6 years of experience crafting his own mead. He will lead the class and help you get a handle on this fun rewarding craft. Kit details: Jigger N' Dash Mead Making Kit that includes everything you need to make your own mead. Reusable starter set has- 3-piece airlock, rubber stopper, 1 gallon glass carboy with sanitizer packet, mead making instruction manual, yeast, yeast nutrient (3 packets) racking cane and cap, funnel, tubing and clamp. Honey is not included; can be purchased at the class from Deez or please bring 3-4 lbs. of your own honey. The amount you’ll need depends on your desired strength, which we’ll cover in detail. Seating is limited to 20 participants, so be sure to reserve your spot early. ⚠️ This event is for ages 21+ only. No minors allowed. NO alcohol will be served or consumed—this class is focused on learning the craft, not sampling the finished product.
